As they say, “full steam ahead” means that something is being done with as much speed and power as possible, and for all the eight (8) continuing members as well as the eight (8) newly-elected ones of the AGIA Board of Directors for Calendar Year 2022-2024 led by the AGIA President herself, Ms. Marissa N. Fabricante, CICA, from the DSWD, and the immediate past AGIA President, Ms. Hideliz Marie A. Laranang, MBA, of DTI, to immediately embark on and forge ahead and fulfill their commitment to serve at their best for two (2) years, they immediately scheduled and took their oath-taking ceremony on a Friday afternoon of February 25, 2022, with no less than the incumbent Governor of Sorsogon, Honorable Francis Joseph “Chiz” Escudero, as the officiating government official. The place of the activity was right at the residence of the governor in Sorsogon where the members of the board and the secretariat upon their arrival found him to be attending to so many visitors at that time and they were only attended to by the governor himself after a few minutes of waiting given that the election fever for the National Election 2022 was already in full swing in virtually all places of the country.

Despite the governor’s busy schedule, surprisingly the AGIA BOD and the Secretariat were warmly and gamely attended to by Gov Chiz which lasted for almost an hour. He talked about various subjects that ranged from his opinion of the Presidential and the Vice Presidential races and of the various political campaigns, slogans and advertisements and the different media outfits’ surveys trending especially on that voter’s preferences. He also dwelt on matters related to his personal life and of his celebrity wife, Ms. Heart Evangelista, his dieting regiment and health activities as well as his own upfront experiences and comments with auditors, on auditing and the procurement provisions as the then incumbent provincial governor of Sorsogon. Meanwhile, after the successful oath-taking activity in front of the governor, all the AGIA BODs and the Secretariat took turns in taking pictures with the governor with so many poses to take advantage of the governor’s good looks, popularity and respected status as a politician. Thereafter, tokens were also presented to the governor by the AGIA President, Director Marissa N. Fabricante, CICA, which was witnessed by all the members of the BOD and the Secretariat. The group left the governor’s residence at around past 4 pm using three (3) rented commuter vans and proceeded back to Legazpi City where their hotel reservations/bookings were located.
