Our AGIA President, Ms. Marissa N Fabricante, was invited as one of the special guests to grace the occasion of the inaugural launching of the Department of Foreign Affairs Internal Audit (DFA IA) Week 2022. Together with her joining the very significant and pioneering event on face to face (F2F) were the Foreign Affairs Acting Undersecretary for Administration Antonio A. Morales and Undersecretary Kim Robert C. de Leon of the Department of Budget and Management while the DFA Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. was on a VTC when he delivered his keynote address to the participants during the opening ceremony. President Fabricante was joined by fellow AGIA Board of Directors, Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, DILG Region V Regional Director, Vice-President of Philippine Guaranty Corporation Internal Audit Liezl Entrata-Pangan and DTI IAS Division Chief, Hideliz Marie A. Laranang.
The one-week anniversary celebration of DFA-IAS with the theme “IAS@12: Nurturing a Responsive Audit Culture for a World-Class and Resilient Foreign Service” was in observance of the International Internal Audit Awareness Week.
AGIA President Fabricante talked briefly about the internal control, the role of the Management and Internal Audit in its installation, implementation and monitoring. Likewise, she also spoke about the relevance of internal audit in the realization of the DFA’s vision of “A resilient foreign service for a strong Philippines.”
The participation of President Marissa N. Fabricante in the said event – as the representative of the entire AGIA organization with all its members nationwide – put to fore AGIA’s unceasing support and commitment to the IAS of the various agencies of the government.
