Dir. Liezl F. Entrata–Pangan

On June 24, 2022, the AGIA Board of Directors met with the Vice Chairman and Executive Officer of the National Police Commission, Atty. Alberto A. Bernardo for a courtesy meeting. Atty. Alberto A. Bernardo played a vital role in establishing and implementing the Philippine Government Internal Audit Manual (PGIAM) and its revision.

The AGIA President Marissa Fabricante, Dir. Liezl Entrata-Pangan, Dir. Anthony Nuyda, Dir. Dinah Pichay, Dir. Vene Tacuboy, and Dir. Irene Alogoc attended the courtesy meeting.

The discussion focused on the significance of Internal Audit in the public sector and how to strengthen its function. In particular, the need to institutionalize the internal audit offices in the Local Government Units is among the concern of both AGIA and DBM. President Fabricante mentioned that AGIA is one with the government in strengthening the internal audit in the public sector. AGIA likewise aimed to have uniform internal audit practices in the government. The meeting concluded successfully, and both hope for better collaboration and cooperation in the near future towards shared aspirations- improved, enhanced, and institutionalized internal audit in the public sector.
