By Dir. Edgar P. Nigos

There was a coinciding activity or jibed mission in connection with the preparations for the upcoming 2022 AGIA Annual Convention, however, performed by the members of the convention committee led by Dir Edgar Nigos, the 2022 convention chairperson, the AGIA President, Dir Marissa Fabricante, venue and accommodation sub-committee chairman, Dir Atty Anthony Nuyda and convention committee vice chairperson, Dir Dinah Pichay, last Thursday, July 14, or a day earlier from the rest of the BODs in order to personally visit and invite as Guest of Honor the incumbent Iloilo Governor, Hon. Arthur  R Defensor Jr., at the Governor’s Night event which will be held on October 13, 2022 at the ICON, Iloilo Convention Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. Said group thereafter proceeded to the office of the Iloilo City Mayor, Hon. Jerry P Trenas, also to visit and invite him as our honored guest on October 12, 2022 with his Welcome Address to all the participants, guests and other visitors attending the convention.

Both local executives gave their approval to the said invitations and have taken note of the dates and even intimated to us their cooperation and willingness to support all the activities of AGIA in their home province which they both said will greatly help in reviving their economy from the slump caused by the COVID-19 pandemic with the possible influx of visitors from all over the country who will attend the said convention.
